Eating mostly lentils and rice. Lentils and oats. Lentils and barley. Or barley alone. Or oats and rye. Everything slightly fermented. Not so fresh but not spoiled either. Conserved. Acidulated. ad libitum. An egg or two daily. The yellow goes down raw, the white is promptly poached and then sieved. On this diet one can maintain a high degree of leanness. Whit a couple of chin-up sessions a week the appearance after a couple of months can be strikingly pleasant, though the focus of the mind tends inward. Time is not so sharply apperceived, not blurrred, only each moment feels much longer flows into the next as if rememberring, waiting not expecting. The past does not go away, lingers.
